Flammer

So it has been a while since I have posted. I have been incredibly busy at work, and have been holding back on posting new stuff. I have kept busy though, but just haven't had time to get stuff ready to put online, until now.

I have been designing new characters, and just having fun with my new tablet, coloring sketches and playing in photoshop.
Here is one of my new guys, his name if Flammer. This was just a color test, and he is very simply designed. Typical fire starter.

I just bought a new tablet/laptop, and have great pen control, mixed with great software, and wireless web access. Now I can scan, color and post all with one machine. So my posts will have more samples, like this drawing, from now on.
I have a few more already done, and will post them sequentially over the next few weeks. Enjoy this sample for now, and please come back for more.

Plus, I will have more news about my upcoming projects ready to post soon.

Thanks for being a fan!

Queer Pulps - Spartans

So this was another of the Queer Pulp covers I did in school, the was based on Greek Spartan stories. This was before 300 came out, and had always been a subject that I loved.
The first homoerotic illustrations I ever drew were series of Greek Gods and Monsters, but sadly my parents burned them all up when they found them. Some day I will go and create newer updated versions of all these Greek myths that I love so much
I will post more soon, and when I get some time this week to work on another drawing, I will post that exclusively on here for all of you to see.
Thanks for being Fans.

Queer Pulps - Astro Booty

So I figured since I have been neglecting my blog for a while now, that I would at least post some old work to liven up the place.
Here is an old piece I did in college for a series of Queer Pulp covers that I created for my thesis project.
It is actually inspiration for my comic that I am currently in pre-production for, so check it out and try to guess what will be coming your way soon.
I will post other samples from this series over the next week or two, so enjoy.
Thanks fans,

Back in time for Easter

Hello gang,
Sorry to say it has been months since I have posted on my blog here, and I feel terrible about taking so long to post something new.
The past few months have been pretty crazy. I have been hard at work to push through deadlines to get a few new simulators out there for clients, and now we have picked up a contract with a major military supplier along with the armed services branches we already work for.
I have been trying to get some drawings done when I can, but I hardly ever have free time anymore to finish anything I have started. Now I am finding myself out of practice, and it is driving me crazy!
Since I have a hard time working digitally lately (since I work on a computer all day at work) I have recently decided to spend more time working on some fine art stuff. I have been hard at work creating some large paintings, and I am trying to get some pieces ready to start up a booth at Gay Pride this year to sell some work first hand.
I am hoping to use the funds to create a new comic strip/book series that I have been brainstorming on, that for now, has to remain completely in the dark. I will be posting samples and character designs at some point, but for now, I want to wait until I have more of the concept hammered out before I show anyone anything from it. This series will either be completely self published, or perhaps show up in some more mainstream gay publications. Who knows.

I am now 10,000 + hits strong on my blog, and will be working hard over the next several weeks to really put some time back into my boy drawings and make some progrees of this new project, and projects of old that have fallen to the wayside.

Here is one piece that I finally finished drawing recently, and wanted to share with my blog followers right away. I needed to post something on here, so I thought this would do for now.
I will try very hard to get more stuff posted, even if it isn't as perfect as I want it to be!

Thanks for checking out my blog, and keep coming back if you want to see more.
Thanks fans,
~Blue

Been practicing in sketchbook...

So I know it has been a while since I posted.
What can I say? Working for the Military keeps me busy. I'm an exec now with a staff of almost a dozen.
My free time is limited, but every now and then I can chill and draw again. My winter deadlines have passed, and I am free to practice.
Plus, I got a sweet new computer set up. Brand spanking new everything, all Blue Tooth and graphics accelerated, hooked to my Cintiq and ready to go. It's super fast, and super smart. Even got to load CS4 software galore! It is fucking amazing! They have made CS4 so awesome, I am gonna be spending a lot of time taking my stuff into animation. My naked boys and my mainstream cartoons.
My old machine died recently and all I have had is a laptop and my work computer. So I have had little time for my digital boys.

That's gonna change now with my new machine.

I am going to be doing a lot of practicing over the next few months, and I will post samples. I wanna try some new things out.

This is a drawing from a small series I planned on creating, that focused on men characterising an sport. This is part of my "Boxer"
I'll do another half a dozen or so of different sports and paint them in. Hopefully soon.

Enjoy, and until next time my fans,

Thanks again for checking out my blog/art.

6000+ Hits and growing!

I know it has been a while since I posted much of anything on here, but I really appreciate all you loyal fans who keep racking up my counter. I cannot believe it has gone past 6000 already!
Work has been extremely busy the last few months and I have been under pretty tight deadlines, and even hiring new employees. My staff has tripled over the last two weeks alone. It's tough being the boss. For those of you who don't know, I work for a Graphic Design company that is a Military contractor, and those Military boys keep us busy!
I have been working a lot on my XBoys stuff and will psot more soon, I promise!
Thanks Fans,

I'm back and I brought Gambit!

Remy Le Beau is here and I just got his uniform drawn last night.
This is my first version and so far I like it. I am ditching the trench coat, so I can highlight his sexy little body more. Never liked the trench coat thing, but I lvoed the way Salvador Larocca drew him in Extreme Xmen, so I used that design as inspiration.
I will color him soon and post the results.
Thanks for checking out my profile, and I hope you are enjoying your holidays.
Take care fans,
~Blue Grey
