New Super-man costume design press release

Looks like the comic book gods wanted to give me something nice for my birthday. These press release images came out a few days ago.

Looks like the new Super-man design will be similar to the "scaley" texture that has become popular thanks to Spider-man.

The hunk inside the suit is British actor Henry Cavil. he was in the Tudors and the Count of Monte Cristo, and I know he has been in more that I am not so familiar with.

DC is making me a fan again, one hunky actor at a time. :)

Silver Surfer

This was a drawing I did of Silver a few years ago that I recently digitized and colored. I wanted to give him a cuter surfer boy look, and decided he needed a mop hairdo. Add some micro shorts and some silver rendering, and voila, this is what I got.

Cyclops: the sequel

Cyclops is back as a new treat for 2011.

I thought it would be fun to draw him naked, and in uniform, just cause I like doing multiple versions of my guys. I am also going to try and post the uniform pic on yGallery, and then post it here on my blog, along with the nude pic posted ONLY on my blog.

Hopefully that will drive more traffic this way :)

Not sure who I will draw next, but I am getting the urge to do a Wiccan/Hulkling piece....

Resolutions

I resolve to practice drawing naked superheroes more often, in 2011.

Might as well start today.

I have been drawing he-Rogues for a few days. Not sure what prompted the fixation, but here is a new naked Rogue from X-Men.

It's nearly 4am, and the history channel, while entertaining, is making me sleepy. Time to turnnoff my tablet, and get to bed.

I wonder what I will draw for my next practice piece.......

Project Re-Post: Return of Colossus

SO I have finally taken some time to look over my work and find something new to post.
It has been a long while, so I am sure no one will see this right away :)
Here are a few of colossus drawings that I re-worked with some new backgrounds.
I am hard at work drawing some new items, but I wont be posting the work until its colored and done. I think posting each step (pencils, roughs, final) is just to unrealistic right now. I will post some nice line drawings from time to time, but for now I am going to push to get pieces to a finalized state much sooner.

Here is another version of Angel that I made back in the days of my Marvel magnet sets.
I liked his old duatone uniform, with the red instead of the blue for some reason. People commented that he looked to "gay" and I can see what they meant. His stance is very fem. I loved his blond mop, so that stayed in my future designs of him, but I definitely needed to work on my tough comic book guy poses.

Elementals

I always liked working on versions of the elements in various mediums. I always loved the simple classic themes. Earth, Fire, water, and Air. I drew some versions that might get reposted in my project Re-Post, but I am also working on some fine art collages that will end up as backdrops for a character design of the 4 elements, and I just finished glazing them tonight.
I have been collaging these pieces over the last several weeks after collecting this scrap over the course of many years. I have wanted to get these larger pieces created for years now, and finally got them just how I liked them.

I will be heavily coating this canvases with glazes of color to unify the images as a whole. Then I am going to draw a new character onto the collage/color glaze. So this is the last time these collages of homo-erotic work will be visible. After this, they will be knocked back as a second read.
Before I cover them, I wanted to preserve the original collage work, since they turned out just really beautiful to begin with. These are collaged pieces of a lot of my favorite homo-erotic artists, and a lot of my favorite comic characters combined into one. Each canvas is 12"x48" rectangular.

I will post more images of this project as it develops, as well as some of the other pieces from this set. I have made a limited amount of other collages in this style, and still have material enough to make a couple more.

Archangel was always a favorite character of mine. I had made a magnet set of him a few years ago, and this was just a sample from it.
I have been sick the last few days, and have been in a fever induced hallucinogenic haze,, so sorry for not posting daily over the holiday weekend.
My fever started breaking this evening, so hopefully it is in remission.

Hello everyone,
I have been working really hard on side projectws, and my regular job has been keeping me very very busy over the last year. But I am finally getting some time to myself.
I am taking a vacation!
First off, next week I leave for SIGGRAPH in New Orleans. Work is sending me to check it out, as the head of my department, it is only natural that I get a week's paid vacation to the convention, for "research" :)
It should be a very nice trip, and I should get to check out a lot of cool electronics.

Then I come home for 2 weeks, and then I fly off for my first European vacation. I will be staying in Rome, Italy, and traveling all over the country, as well as taking a few side trips to Greece. Athens and Mykonos, here I come!

While I am gone, I will have a lot of time to draw, color, and write. Which are all things I have been dieing to do! I have so much stuff planned out for my comic books, and for my older artwork. I plan on taking my new kick ass tablet pc laptop with me and using it to color a ton of older drawings. I may not have internet access very often while I am there, so I do not think I will be updating my blogs regularly, but if I can, and if I have made anything worth psoting, I will try.

In other news, I have submitted two unpublished works to a magazine in Brazil, and expect copies to arrive in mid-August.
I sent off tow older drawings that I have recently re-worked, and wanted to share those samples here with my blog fans, since the magazine is not available in the USA. It is available in Brazil, Spain and France, so if any of you are located in those areas, look for my work in the August issue of Junior Magazine.

Here are the two images I submitted, my recent drawing of the "Boxer" and a re-colored version of my old Eros drawing. I hope you enjoy these pieces, and please come back to the blog to look for more work soon!

I have a few weeks left before I leave for Italy, and I plan to color color color as much as I can before I go. I will post samples here.

Queer Pulps - Spartans

So this was another of the Queer Pulp covers I did in school, the was based on Greek Spartan stories. This was before 300 came out, and had always been a subject that I loved.
The first homoerotic illustrations I ever drew were series of Greek Gods and Monsters, but sadly my parents burned them all up when they found them. Some day I will go and create newer updated versions of all these Greek myths that I love so much
I will post more soon, and when I get some time this week to work on another drawing, I will post that exclusively on here for all of you to see.

Queer Pulps - Astro Booty

Back in time for Easter

Hello gang,
Sorry to say it has been months since I have posted on my blog here, and I feel terrible about taking so long to post something new.
The past few months have been pretty crazy. I have been hard at work to push through deadlines to get a few new simulators out there for clients, and now we have picked up a contract with a major military supplier along with the armed services branches we already work for.
I have been trying to get some drawings done when I can, but I hardly ever have free time anymore to finish anything I have started. Now I am finding myself out of practice, and it is driving me crazy!
Since I have a hard time working digitally lately (since I work on a computer all day at work) I have recently decided to spend more time working on some fine art stuff. I have been hard at work creating some large paintings, and I am trying to get some pieces ready to start up a booth at Gay Pride this year to sell some work first hand.
I am hoping to use the funds to create a new comic strip/book series that I have been brainstorming on, that for now, has to remain completely in the dark. I will be posting samples and character designs at some point, but for now, I want to wait until I have more of the concept hammered out before I show anyone anything from it. This series will either be completely self published, or perhaps show up in some more mainstream gay publications. Who knows.

I am now 10,000 + hits strong on my blog, and will be working hard over the next several weeks to really put some time back into my boy drawings and make some progrees of this new project, and projects of old that have fallen to the wayside.

Here is one piece that I finally finished drawing recently, and wanted to share with my blog followers right away. I needed to post something on here, so I thought this would do for now.
I will try very hard to get more stuff posted, even if it isn't as perfect as I want it to be!

Blue Grey himself

I started character designs for a new project. This is Blue Grey, my homo-erotic persona, and one of his many friends, Tim Drake, a cute little blond bottom fuck buddy of Blue's.
I am going to make a few more main characters, but after their introductions, I am going to start making new works with Blue and all his buddies.
My goal is to make these characters into something more then just a series of one shot illustrations like my other projects.

Happy Gay Pride Month!

Well things have been busy around here lately. June is Gay Pride month, and the city is buzzing in preparation for the festivities and still celebrating the legalization of gay marriage in California. I have been busy the last few weeks prepping for my best friend's wedding next week. Last night was his Bachelor party and we had a blast.
In celebration of Pride, I will be passing out samples of my work (flyers and free magnets) with my blog's address on it.
Here is one of the magnets I will be passing out (3/15 chance of getting this one for this printing), only about 2x2.5 inches, and just simple with a nice boner on it. I will be passing out flyers too with some of my x-boys in their underwear, like I have posted here in the past.
If you are in SF for pride be on the look out on Pink Saturday for a few people passing them out, and possibly at the party at Civic Center after the parade.

This is a sample of some drawings I worked on today for a friend of mine. He is gay pornstar Luke Haas. Luke posed for me a few weeks back and I am working on some portraits of him for his blog.

Male Model: Luke

I have spent some time getting back into proper figure model drawing. I have been hiring guys to pose for me to improve my anatomy rendering. I used to have 10+ hours a week of figure drawing during college, but mostly older female and elderly male models. No male models younger then 30 were ever hired by my school. Now that I have time and money to hire models on my own, I have been looking for guys that I am actually interested in drawing.
It has been really nice to have someone to pose for me again, and I really lucked out with the second model I have hired, who came to pose for me this past weekend.
His name is Luke, short for Lukas (I think thats how he spells the un-shortened version) and he has done some adult modeling before. I will put a link to his blog in my links section in case you want to see more of him. He made a great model, took direction perfectly, and he has a great build for drawing. He is muscular and lean and well defined. He was really handsome and I am looking forward to hiring him again next time he is in SF. I have got a big crush on him now, and I cannot wait to get some of his drawings to the finished point of posting them here for you all to check out. We will be working together on a mascot character of himself for his blog, and he is going to be the inspiration for Pisces in my upcoming Zodiac project.
I am going to post one small pic of him for you all the see, just to tease you all, because I cannot wait to show you his drawings, but I am not happy enough with any of the sketches to post them yet. He is really beautiful and best of all, he was friendly and made me feel very comfortable with him. I hope he doesn't mind me posting this pic (but Luke if you do let me know and I will take it down right away)
I will post some of my drawings of him this weekend when I have time to photograph them and format them down.

Captain America nuts all over his shield

I can't believe I forgot to post this on here. This was commission I got a few months back from one my best customer. He wanted a drawing of Cap jerking off and busting a load all over his trusty shield. This was the finished product which I made into a magnet for him.
I am going to post my secondary drawing that wasn't taken past the initial stage just for kicks.

Harry Bush tribute collection! Fantastic work!

Go out and buy this book! Harry Bush has been an inspiration to me since my early teens, and his work is amazing. He was the best anatomy illustrator I have ever lain eyes on. For the first time, a new book published 11/07 "Harry Bush: Hard Boys" is the finest collection of homoerotic illustration in history. I just bought the Hardcover and the softcover, and I wanted to post about it.
Honestly, if you are here reading this then you like drawings of hot naked boys, and my work is nothing compared to Harry Bush's work. I hope some day to be half as good as he was.
Check out this book and then buy it.

Fridge Magnets!

Here is a photo of my fridge in my kitchen covered in my x-boys magnets, series 1 and 2! my friends and family have loved coming over to see them, and all had big laughs at how naked they are. Even my two year old niece caught a glimpse of them and thought they were "pretty men", until her mom noticed that they were naked, and then it was a mad dash to hide the naughty pieces and put some freakin clothes on them for the sake of the children! ;)
